Fit2Go Recipe: Healthy Home made ketchup!

Fit2Go Recipe: Healthy Home made ketchup!

WHAT IT IS:

Ketchup is really good on a lot of things, including in my BBQ pork tenderloin recipe! But, it is filled with A LOT of sugar, and is it really worth the calories???

If you learn to make your own homemade ketchup, which is actually really simple, you can have your cake and eat it too! Or should I say your ketchup?

Did I mention it’s 1/2 the calories of regular ketchup?

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • 1 6 oz can tomato paste
  • 2 T apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/3 C water
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • pepper to taste if you want to add something a little different than regular ketchup!
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/8 tsp allspice
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper

** I highly recommend investing in adjustable measuring spoons (link below) they will make your life so much easier!
