14 May Fit2Go Recipe: Simple Skillet Green Beans (Side Dish)
WHAT IT IS:
Simple skillet green beans are quick and healthy green beans cooked on the stove top. They are simple, not time consuming and very flavorful!
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- 12 oz green beans trimmed (you can buy pre-trimmed or trim them yourself! Up to you!)
- Red pepper flakes to taste
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic or 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 C water

INSTRUCTIONS:
- Heat olive oil over medium-high heat in skillet
- Add red pepper flakes to taste (A few sprinkles should be good, keep in mind a little bit o these go a long way and you can always add later!)
- Add green beans and cook on medium-high heat, stirring frequently until they have patches of brown on them
- Add garlic and stir
- Add salt and pepper to taste
- Add water
- Cover and reduce heat to medium
- Cook until tender to your liking! About 2-4 minutes
